1. SWIM IN AN OUTDOOR POOL

These allow gases to escape into the air by leaving less to contaminate your hair and skin.

These pools are also better for eyes, sinuses, and lungs. If you need to swim indoors, look for well-ventilated pools.

2. SHOWER BEFORE YOU SWIM

Both hair and skin are less likely to absorb water from the pool once they’re already wet. So take a shower before you swim.

3. APPLY CONDITIONER OR HAIR OIL

If you consult with Hair experts then they will recommend you to apply either a natural oil like coconut or deep conditioner to the hair before going into the pool.

The benefit of applying oil or conditioner is that it creates a layer between your hair and the chlorine or any other chemicals in the pool.

If you use oil, however, remember to wear a cap, as the oil can attract sun damage in outside pools.

4. WEAR A SWIM CAP

The best way to protect your hair is to wear a swim cap, especially when chemically treated. If you don’t want to wear a cap then Pin your hair back.

Both hair conditioner and lotion on your skin provide an extra layer of protection.

It’s simple you need to apply sun protection for outdoors and oil or lotions for indoors.

6. WASH AFTER YOUR SWIM

With the help of shampoo, wash hair and skin after your swim so that your skin can get rid of all chemicals. Let the freshwater flow through it for five minutes or so.
