Children above the 6 months old, who have the fever of 102 or above need to take medicine under the doctors’ supervision.

Young children

Children ages 2-17 years old don’t need any medicine to reduce the temperature under 102 F. If the fever goes above 102F then they must use medicine to overcome the temperature. If still, they are not getting well then you should consult to doctor.

Adults

Adults above 18 don’t need any medicine for a fever under 102F temperature, but above it, they should use medication. Adults should seek medical attention in the situation as a stiff neck, pain anywhere in the body, shortness of breath.
